Staci’s Story
In 2018, Staci Loftin Roberts, a 20-year survivor of Hodgkin’s disease, was diagnosed with breast cancer. A courageous woman of faith, Staci was determined to fight each day and always remained strong and positive. Her theme song was, “If He did before, He would do it again!” She had a double mastectomy in October 2018. After the surgery, doctors discovered the breast cancer had spread throughout her body and was stage 4. Walking through seasons of taking oral chemotherapy and receiving chemotherapy infusions, Staci fought with incredible faith and grace. She continued to work in the Training Department of John Hopkins Hospital; serve as Dance Director for a local dance studio; help in various ministries at her church where her parents serve as pastor and leading lady; support her sister’s daycare and its two locations; coach numerous dance mentees and pageant queens; and use her dance skills to bless various churches’ praise dance ministries – all while raising her two daughters who were her greatest joy! In December 2018, Staci became a special member of Mikey’s Miracle Foundation family, receiving weekly meals and holiday support. Staci continuously inspired others with her infectious smile and warm spirit. Her strength was so immense that many who met her had no idea that she was in the fight of her life. Her personality and spirit always outshined every obstacle. In May 2020, just days after her 49th birthday, Staci gained her eternal crown.
This month, Mikey’s Miracle Foundation is Zooming in on Breast Cancer in honor of Staci Loftin Roberts and over 268,000 other women impacted by the disease this year alone.
